What is the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Integrated Care System?

Our integrated care system (ICS) is a partnership of NHS and local government organisations working together to improve the health and wellbeing of our local communities. It is  is one of the largest health and care systems in the country with a long history of working with our population and each other to make lives better.

The ICS has been created to better join up hospital and community services, physical and mental health, and health and social care. As a system, we take collective responsibility for managing resources, delivering care, and improving the health of the population  we serve. Similar to other integrated care systems across the country, we have been working together to coordinate services more closely, to make real, practical improvements to people’s lives, providing more consistency of care, breaking down barriers between services and reducing inequalities.
